How can playgrounds be developed sustainably - and how can a water play system remain in reliable operation over the long term? These were precisely the questions at the centre of two intensive practical days in Eystrup. On Tuesday, 24.02.2026, and Wednesday, 25.02.2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming local authorities and North German region welcome. In focus: Maintenance, servicing and practical solutions - directly from the everyday life of municipal operators.

Refurbishment and extension of existing buildings: putting sustainability into practice (24.02.2026)

The first day was all about the Maintenance of playground equipment - with a special focus on Refurbishment, extension and modernisation of existing buildings. Because sustainable playground development often doesn't mean „everything new“, but clever thinking ahead: Which components can be retained? Where do repairs make sense? And where can a targeted extension create more play value without having to rebuild the entire playground?

Typical questions from everyday municipal life were discussed in the group - from the assessment of the existing buildings to economical maintenance and possible expansion options. The open exchange showed once again: Sustainability starts with good decisions in entertainment - professionally clean, safety-conscious and long-term thinking.

„Water march“: Focus on the maintenance of water play facilities (25/02/2026)

The second day was all about the Entertainment from Water play systems. Under the motto „Water march“ focused on technical, practical and organisational aspects that operators in municipalities and building yards have to deal with on a daily basis: reliable operation, clean processes, safe use - and operations that can be planned throughout the season.

The focus was on practical experience and concrete tips on how to structure maintenance, monitoring and operation efficiently. This is particularly evident in water play areas: Good entertainment is the key to lasting play value and a high level of acceptance among users.

Two days, two focal points - and one common goal: Sharing knowledge, taking solutions with you and facilitating conversation in everyday municipal life. We would like to thank all participants for the lively dialogue, the many questions and the constructive atmosphere. We look forward to continuing the dialogue - and to the next practice days in Eystrup.
