Departure for training at BBS Nienburg – Training at Kaiser & Kühne

Staff at a stand at BBS Nienburg, from Kaiser and Kühne

On Wednesday, 5 June 2024, the schoolyard of the BBS Nienburg was the place to be: „Departure training!“ During the car park campaign, pupils met directly with regional training companies - with Kaiser & Kühne right in the middle. Further information on the campaign is also available directly from the BBS Nienburg and at the Nienburg job centre.

Instead of traditional trade fair halls, the careers orientation took place where young people are out and about every day: on the school grounds. From the company car or directly at the stand, companies were able to present their offers, answer questions and engage in straightforward dialogue. For many pupils, „Abfahrt Ausbildung“ is an ideal opportunity to secure an apprenticeship or start an internship shortly before or during their final year.

On this day, we presented our training occupations Construction mechanic and Industrial clerk presented. The direct dialogue was particularly exciting: What does everyday working life in metalworking look like? What tasks await us in the office? What development opportunities are there at an international manufacturer of playground equipment? On our overview page for Jobs & training at Kaiser & Kühne interested parties can find out more at any time.

There was also support from careers advice centres, job centres and other partners who were on hand to help with topics such as applications, career choices and Plan B. Additional tips for a convincing application can be found on our page with Application tips compiled.

Our conclusion: „Abfahrt Ausbildung“ is a strong example of what modern career guidance can look like - direct and at eye level. We are already looking forward to the next round and perhaps to welcoming some of the young people as our new trainees soon.
