We build play equipment for children – and for anyone else who feels like it. A particularly spectacular example of this can be found in the Rietberg Garden Show Park (north section of the park): one of the largest dolphin towers in Germany.
Kaiser & Kühne’s first Dalbentower, which is around 23 meters high, caused quite a stir when it opened. With its height, striking piles and various stainless steel slides, it quickly became clear that there was no other facility like it in the area. Several descents – including a long tunnel slide – make the tower a magnet for spectators and a favorite place for courageous children and teenagers. An overview of our tower variants can also be found in the Dalbentowers category in the showroom.
Extension with second tower and suspension bridge
After a few years, the play area was significantly upgraded once again: Kaiser & Kühne added a second Dalbentower to the facility, which is connected to the main tower via a long jungle bridge. The result is a coherent tower and bridge combination that can be seen hovering over the park from afar.
Today, the children climb from the first tower over the net and suspension bridge to the second tower, choose another slide there and get back down to the sand and meadow area. This creates a circuit that is constantly in motion – with many encounters, visual relationships and new perspectives on the park.
In the immediate vicinity, other play features such as a zip line add to the adventurous character of the area and fit in visually with the characteristic tower silhouette. Further projects with striking tower installations can be found in our references & projects, for example the Garvies Point Playground in New York.
Play value for all generations
The Dalbentower in the Garden Show Park is deliberately designed so that children and adults can find their place: up on the platforms with a wide view over the park, in the nets of the suspension bridge or down in the sand, on the meadow and along the paths. The combination of height, speed, climbing and balancing routes appeals to older children and teens in particular, while younger children have plenty of space to watch, try out and imitate in the surrounding area.
With the extension to two towers, a facility has been created that perfectly reflects the character of the garden show park: lots of greenery, plenty of air and a play offer that you won’t soon forget – implemented with the high standards that we document with our quality seals.
