Brazil
Brazil is a large country in South America, stretching from the Amazon basin in the north to the vineyards and mighty Iguaçu waterfalls in the south. The landmark of Rio de Janeiro is the 38 m high statue of Christ on the mountain Corcovado. The metropolis is famous for the well-attended beaches of the Copacabana and Ipanema districts, as well as for the huge, exuberant carnival, which is celebrated with floats, dazzling costumes and samba music and dances.
