Single-point swing joint
One joint can make all the difference over decades
A playground is used every day. Thousands of movements, thousands of stresses – over many decades. That is why Kaiser & Kühne develops its own single-point swing joint, rather than relying on standard components.
Every single component has been specifically designed for this purpose and tested on our own test rig with over 100,000 load cycles. We even developed and built the test rig ourselves specifically for this purpose. And only once the design and load-bearing capacity have been proven do we install the component on the playground.
For us, ‘German engineering’ means: don’t buy, develop.

KAROLAM®
A connection can last for decades
Many manufacturers join wood and steel directly together. Kaiser & Kühne wanted to go further. That is why they developed KAROLAM®, their own joining technology comprising laminated robinia timber and a specially designed tubular base – engineered for maximum stability and decades of use.
The intelligent design reduces stress in the timber, protects the structure in sensitive ground areas and ensures even force distribution. This results in durable play equipment with a high level of structural safety and significantly lower maintenance requirements.
